Passive fire protection (PFP)

Intumescent epoxy coating protects structural steel when it matters most. The material is thick, fast-curing and has to be applied at the right mix ratio and the right temperature. Mouritsen supplies the spray equipment, the set-up and the training, so the application can be documented.

Protection that works without being activated

Passive fire protection, or PFP, is fire protection built into the structure that works on its own. Intumescent epoxy coating is one of the most widely used solutions on structural steel.
